I am pleased to offer Dyslexia 101 Workshops to schools, parent groups, and community organizations seeking accurate, research-based information about dyslexia and Structured Literacy.

Developed by the International Dyslexia Association (IDA), Dyslexia 101 is an engaging, evidence-based introduction to:

  • What dyslexia is — and what it is not
  • How dyslexia impacts reading, spelling, and writing
  • Why Structured Literacy is essential for students with dyslexia
  • How families, educators, and communities can take informed action

These workshops are designed for families, educators, school leaders, pediatricians, and community members who want to deepen their understanding and better support struggling readers.

Workshop Details

  • Certified by the International Dyslexia Association

  • Free of charge

  • Two-hour, in-person session

  • Facilitated by IDA-certified personnel

  • A Subject Matter Expert (SME) will be present to answer questions

  • Host sites must provide their own audio/visual equipment
  • Workshops can be scheduled at community locations, schools, or organizations

This session is an excellent opportunity to build shared understanding and equip your community with the knowledge needed to support students with dyslexia.
